We conduct original, multi-disciplinary research into the deep structures of human connection — and publish everything openly, because the science of belonging should never be proprietary.
Connection is too complex for any single field. We work across six interlocking disciplines — each informing the others, all pointing toward the same question: how can we be better together?
How do people form bonds? What makes someone feel they belong? We study the mechanisms of trust, group identity, intergroup dynamics, and the social conditions that transform strangers into communities.
What is the nature of awareness? How does individual consciousness relate to collective experience? We explore the frontiers of subjective experience, presence, and the interplay between inner life and social reality.
How do our minds process social information? What cognitive biases and behavioral patterns shape our relationships? We research perception, attention, decision-making, habit formation, and the neural underpinnings of empathy and cooperation.
How do diverse cultures understand belonging, kinship, and ritual? We draw on cross-cultural research to learn from the many ways humans have gathered, bonded, and made meaning together — ancient wisdom informing contemporary design.
How do social structures shape human possibility? We study institutions, norms, inequality, community formation, and the emergent patterns that arise when people organize around shared purpose.
How does power shape connection? We examine the political dimensions of community — how policy, governance, and civic structures either nurture or erode the social bonds that hold society together.
This is where it all comes together. We synthesize findings across disciplines to design new sociocultural models — frameworks for how communities, institutions, and societies can be structured to prioritize genuine human flourishing.
